Arsenal consider move for Man Utd target that could include major swap deal
Arsenal could consider a move Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Trippier in a deal that would see Hector Bellerin move in the other direction.
Trippier celebrated La Liga title success with Atletico in May but after two impressive seasons in Spain is considering a return to England this summer.
Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with the Spanish champions over a move for the former Tottenham right-back, who is said to have begun house hunting ahead of a return to the Premier League.
Marca report however that Arsenal have now also entered the equation with Bellerin to be included in any deal between the two clubs.
Bellerin is among a group of senior Arsenal players who could leave the club this summer with Mikel Arteta intent on making further changes to his squad.
The former Barcelona youngster is admired by Atletico sporting director Andrea Berta, with Bellerin himself open to a return to Spain.
Trippier joined Atletico for £20m from Tottenham in 2019 and the England defender has two years to run on his deal in the Spanish capital.
But the right-back is keen on a return to England after winning La Liga with Diego Simeone’s side and his family already reside in the north-west.
United are eager to bring in a more attacking-minded option to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.
