Juventus have slapped a price tag of around £29.4million on Arsenal and Tottenham target Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks after failing to establish himself as a regular starter during his time at Juventus.

Kulusevski has registered 16 appearances for Juventus in Serie A since the beginning of the campaign but has started on just four occasions.

He arrived at the club from Atalanta in 2020 but was immediately shipped out to Parma on a six-month loan deal before returning to Turin at the end of that season.

The Sweden international has since failed to maintain a regular spot in the Juventus side under both Andrea Pirlo and Max Allegri.

It seems as though he could soon be on his way to England in order to make a fresh start if the Italian club’s demands are met over the coming weeks.

They are expected to part ways with Kulusevski if they receive a bid in the region of £29.4m before the end of next month, with Tottenham in pole position to secure his signature, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The report claims that Spurs director Fabio Paratici is keen on bringing the forward to north London after negotiating his arrival at Juventus at the start of last year.

They will face stiff competition from cross-city rivals Arsenal in the battle to secure his signature, with the Gunners also having been linked with his services for a number of months.

However, Bayern Munich are also said to be keeping a close eye on Kulsevski’s situation after watching him from afar in recent months.

The German heavyweights are believed to be long-term admirers of the Juventus man, while Arsenal have been aware of his talents since his Atalanta days.

It remains to be seen whether Kulusevski will eventually move on by the time next month’s transfer window slams shut, with the winger attracting no shortage of interest as of late.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte recently suggested that a fruitful mid-season recruitment drive will be on the agenda in January by admitting that his side are not good enough to challenge the Premier League’s best sides at present.

“I must be honest and tell you that after three-and-a-half weeks, I am starting to understand the situation,” Conte told reporters after Spurs fell to a disappointing defeat at the hands of NS Mura last month.

“I can tell you that the situation is not simple. It is not simple because in this moment for sure the level of Tottenham is not so high.

“There is an important gap to the top teams in England. Of this we must not be scared. I am here to work, here to improve the situation.

“I know that in this moment we need to have patience, time and I am here because I know there are problems to solve.

“After three-and-a-half weeks, I am happy to stay here but at the same time I must be honest and tell you we need to work a lot to improve the quality of the [current] squad.

“We are Tottenham and Tottenham in this moment, there is an important gap. If someone thinks that a new coach arrives and Conte won in the past and then I am a magician, but the only magic I can do is to work.

“To bring work and work to improve, to bring my methods, my ideas of football. But we have to understand that we need time.”
