Arsenal and Tottenham could be set to rival each other for the signature of Euro 2020 ‘genius’ Patrik Schick. The Bayer Leverkusen forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League after excelling in Germany this season.
Schick was part of the Czech Republic side which reached the quarter-finals of tournament in the summer, before being knocked out by Denmark.
His brilliant performances saw him find the back of the net four times, with only blockbuster star Cristiano Ronaldo getting his name on the scoresheet on more occasions.
The 6ft 3in frontman has taken his international form into the Bundesliga this campaign and has already racked up a remarkable 16 goals in 13 league encounters.
Earlier this month he scored four times as his team thrashed Greuther Furth 7-1. He also notched braces in games against Eintracht Frankfurt and Hoffenheim before the winter break.
The 25-year-old is behind only Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga scoring charts this season and has scored three more goals than Erling Haaland.

And the striker’s output has helped Leverkusen move to fourth in the table.
According to FourFourTwo, Arsenal and Tottenham are among five Premier League clubs monitoring the player.
The Gunners have banished Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from their matchday squad in recent weeks and could be looking for a suitable replacement.
Alexandre Lacazette is currently leading the line for Mikel Arteta’s side but is out of contract next summer and could depart the Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have relied heavily on Harry Kane in recent years but have seen the striker hit a tough run of form this season after he was denied a dream move to Manchester City in the summer.
The north London duo face competition from the Citizens, Everton and West Ham for Schick’s signature.
Pep Guardiola’s team have been without a recognised striker all season following the departure of Sergio Aguero in the summer and could look to bolster their attack after selling Ferran Torres to Barcelona this week.
The Hammers, meanwhile, could look to add to their ranks in January to maintain their hopes of a top-four finish, while Everton have struggled in front of goal all season.
Schick arrived at Leverkusen from Roma last September for £23.9million and has scored 29 goals in 54 games for the German team.
And it is his form since the summer which appears to have got the attention of the Premier League’s big-hitters.
Schick is contracted to his current club until 2025, however, and Leverkusen are apparently reluctant to let him go in January.
But they may decide to cash in on their main man next summer if a big offer comes their way.
