Napoli dropped a hint on social media regarding the potential signing of Isco, before the Tweet was promptly deleted. This strongly suggests that the Italian side have joined a growing queue of clubs thought to be interested in luring in the Real Madrid midfielder this summer.
The Spaniard has entered the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and is due for talks with Carlo Ancelotti regarding his future.
His contract situation dictates that if the club want to recoup money for him, this summer would be one of their last opportunities to do so.
The Spaniard has been with the club for eight seasons, although last campaign he failed to register a single goal as they fell short of Atletico Madrid in the Spanish title race.
As a result of his lacklustre season, Isco missed out on Spain’s squad for Euro 2020, along with every other Spaniard plying their trade at the Bernabeu.

The fact that money is unusually tight in the Spanish capital could force their hand in getting him off the wage bill, particularly if they have ambitious moves lined up later in the summer.
Napoli put out an audacious tweet which stated: “Isco – Google search” as rumours continued to circulate which suggested he could be on his way out of Madrid.
They subsequently join AC Milan in the Italian contingent chasing his signature, rivalling north London foes Arsenal and Tottenham who are also both keen on a deal.
The Gunners are in desperate need of a new attacking midfielder after Martin Odegaard headed back to Madrid.

Youngster Emile Smith-Rowe has also been heavily linked with a move away, which would add to the midfield exodus currently taking place at the Emirates.
Just a short distance away, Spurs newbies Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici are keen to get their working relationship underway in the transfer market, although no signings have been made as yet.
The pair will undoubtedly be keen to box off as much business as possible early on, with a potential Harry Kane saga looming large for the final weeks of the summer.
Whichever club manages to tempt the 38-cap Spanish international their way, a reported fee of £6million according to The Mirror would be a snip for a player still in his twenties who has racked up over 300 appearances for Los Blancos.
The real stumbling block for both Arsenal and Tottenham could be the player’s reported demand for Champions League football next season.
Of the four clubs mentioned, only Milan can put that on the table after their second-place finish last campaign.
If either side are to land him in north London, they must therefore sell a future project to the player who himself must work his way back to being a true impact performer at the top level.
