Antony ‘taking the p***’ out of Dan Burn as he smiles after needless showboating
Manchester United star Antony left fans saying “he’s taking the absolute p***” against Newcastle.
The Brazilian showed off more of his stunning tricks in the first half of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final clash at Wembley Stadium. With United 2-0 up and half time beckoning, Antony decided to leave a mark in his own fascinating way.
He pretended to go past Magpies defender Dan Burn before turning back. And he did so again, and again, shimmying and turning the gangly left-back inside-out to cheers from the crowd.

Antony’s spectacular trolling was finally ended by Joelinton, who flew in and took the winger out, much to the relief of Burn. Antony flashed a smile while on the floor, with the dazzling bit of footwork and s***housery sending fans on social media wild.
One Twitter user wrote: "Antony taking the p***. Beautiful Brazilian magic,” while another tweeted: "He dribbled past Burn waited for him to come back and did it again"
Do you think Antony was a good use of £86million? Let us know in the comments section.
A third commented: "Antony’s just taking the p*** ahahah Newcastle’s left side getting rinsed," while a fourth added: “Anthony is worth every penny.”
And a fifth United fan tweeted: “Antony is ridiculous. He thinks it’s FIFA street.”
It comes after much debate surrounding Antony since his staggering £86million move from Ajax at the start of the season. The winger has not been as effective as some United supporters would have hoped in front of goal, while some pundits have taken aim at his love for tricks and flicks.
Legendary Red Devils midfielder Paul Scholes called his now-famous pirouette “ridiculous showboating,” before shockingly adding: “What is he thinking? I think he needs that kicking out of him."
Meanwhile, commentator Robbie Savage was equally unimpressed, saying at the time: "Well that for me is ridiculous because he's done that and then he puts the ball out of play.”
