Antonio Conte shows middle finger to Juventus president at half time
Antonio Conte showed his middle finger to Juventus president Andrea Agnelli during Inter’s Coppa Italia clash on Tuesday evening.
Inter needed a victory after they were beaten 2-1 in the first leg but the second leg of their semi-final ended in a goalless draw at the Allianz Stadium.
According to Sky Sport Italia, tensions boiled over after the full-time whistle as a row erupted between Conte and Agnelli.
Subsequent television footage has shown that Conte directed a middle-finger gesture towards Agnelli as he headed towards the tunnel at the half-time break.
Agnelli, meanwhile, was caught hurling insults towards Conte from the stands at the end of the game.
The Juventus director was seen on camera saying: ‘F*** off, shut up a**hole.’
When asked about the incident after the game, Conte said: ‘They should tell the truth, the fourth official saw what happened the whole game, they should be more polite.
‘There is nothing to say but more sportsmanship and respect is needed for those who work.’
In his post-match press conference, Conte said: ‘What happened at the end of the game? I have neither the desire nor the pleasure to comment on anything.
‘I think that in all things there must be education. Enough.’
