Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is reportedly putting off holding transfer talks with Fabio Paratici ahead of the January window. Conte has overseen a drastic improvement in form but will likely want to complete business next month.
Spurs sealed a fourth Premier League win since the Italian’s appointment in November by beating Crystal Palace 3-0 on Boxing Day.
Harry Kane appears to have shunned his poor form and scored his second consecutive league goal against the Eagles.
The club’s performances have been excellent under Conte. They are also through to the semi-final of the League Cup following last week’s 2-1 win over West Ham.
It was widely reported when the 52-year-old replaced Nuno Espirito Santo that he would be afforded a large transfer budget in January.
That is despite former boss Nuno spending £60million at the start of his ill-fated spell.

However, Conte is understood to be postponing all talks with managing director of football Paratici and chairman Daniel Levy.
According to Football.London, the new Spurs head coach wants to properly evaluate his squad before making decisions on where he wants to strengthen his ranks.
Conte is known to develop players who were discarded under previous coaches and turn them into key stars in his title-winning teams.
Premier League fans will remember him turning Victor Moses into an excellent wing-back at Chelsea.
Steven Bergwijn, who fell out of favour under Nuno and Jose Mourinho, impressed on a rare start against West Ham and could fall into that category of rejuvenated players.
The Dutchman scored and assisted in the victory which sets up a semi-final against Chelsea in January.
But the report continues that there are three positions that Conte would like to improve. The former Inter Milan boss wants a right wing-back with Matt Doherty potentially moving on.
He also wants a left-sided centre-back to provide competition to Ben Davies and a new forward to allow Kane to be rotated.
Conte revealed earlier in December that transfer talks would take place with the club’s hierarchy.
However, it seems that he will not sit down with Paratici and Levy until he has assessed his squad.

“In this moment we’re not thinking about the transfer window,” Conte said on December 17.
“We’ve had many, many problems to face and try to solve. It was very difficult to speak about other topics.
“For sure, in the next days we’ll try to have a meeting to speak about the situation and see if there’s a way to improve the squad and in which way.
“In this moment, I’m making an evaluation about the whole squad. Covid will be a good opportunity for someone to show me they deserve to continue to play for Tottenham.”
