Antonio Conte could land three of his former Chelsea star should he become the next Tottenham manager.

Spurs are desperately searching for a new coach after sacking Jose Mourinho with several top targets already turning them down.

Julian Nagelsmann was the ideal choice but agreed to take over at Bayern Munich, while Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers have no intention of joining.

It has led them to Conte – who despite winning Serie A could leave Inter Milan this summer due to problems with the board.

The Italian is best known to this country for his success with Chelsea, where he won the Premier League a year after they finished 10th.

His remarkable managerial ability to rope a club from despair into more prosperous times has been noted by Tottenham chiefs.

With that in mind, it would not be a surprise to see Conte look to snap up some of the stars that made his time in England so successful last time.

Marcos Alonso

Perhaps most indicative of Conte’s Chelsea was his use of Alonso – who he signed in his first summer in charge.

The Spaniard was used as a left wing-back, which saw the Blues change shape – and he could do the same for Tottenham.

His time at Stamford Bridge looks over, with Ben Chilwell first-choice under Thomas Tuchel and Conte could revitalise his career north of London.

Victor Moses

If Conte is to switch to a three-at-the-back system at Spurs, he will need a right wing-back.

Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier have failed to impress and Moses could be the answer, short-term at least – while the Nigerian was a huge success under Conte at Chelsea.

The former Crystal Palace star is on loan to Spartak Moscow at the moment and the Blues would be happy to sell this summer.

Diego Costa

The duo had a major fallout while at Chelsea that led to Costa leaving for Atletico Madrid – but if they can patch up their differences, he could be some signing for Spurs.

Costa and Atletico agreed to mutually terminate his contract in December 2020, meaning the striker is a free agent.

If he can be convinced to move to Tottenham, he could provide better back-up to Harry Kane than Carlos Vinicius.
