Andreas Pereira scores wonder goal and gets standing ovation from Fernandes
Andreas Pereira's goal in Manchester United's pre-season clash with Brentford was so good even Bruno Fernandes gave a standing ovation.
In a game full of good goals, Pereira scored the pick of the bunch with a stunning volley from 25 yards out.
It crashed in off the crossbar with the Bees goalkeeper left watching while the ball flew past him into the top corner.
Fernandes was in the stands at Old Trafford and immediately stood up to applaud the effort, joined by Alex Telles.
Pereira's goal put United 2-1 ahead though they were pulled back as the match finished 2-2.
Anthony Elanga had put the Red Devils ahead with a fine volley of his own before Shandon Baptiste levelled with another superb strike.
Though it was Pereira's goal that really caught the eye with some claiming the Brazilian should be winning this year's Puskas award.
One commented on social media: "Give Andreas Pereira the Puskas Award now damnit what a goal."

"I was thinking 'please take a touch', but he's skilful, Andreas has got technique. What a hit."
United have confirmed the arrival of Jadon Sancho while an agreement has been made with Raphael Varane.
Solskjaer added: "You can’t ask for more backing to get these two in as early as we can. We have scrambled to get players in before. This year we are in a good position.
"I am very happy getting both players in. Club shows ambition. One of most exciting talents in the world and one of best centre-backs in the world.
"With Raphael looking like everything sorted, can see Axel [Tuanzebe] going out.
"Phil Jones is due to start training over the weekend. Big plus for him. Great to see him ready to train again."
