Dele Alli hasn’t had the best start to life at Everton but he has been able to win over supporters on a night where the club secured their Premier League survival.

The 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact since his January move from Tottenham and is yet to start a Premier League game for the Toffees.

In Thursday’s 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace, Alli came on at the start of the second half with Frank Lampard’s side 2-0 down and produced what supporters hailed as a ‘game-changing’ performance to help swing the game back into Everton’s favour.

Crystal Palace had taken a 2-0 lead after goals from Jean-Phillipe Mateta and Jordan Ayew.

Everton produced a magnificent second-half comeback though to take the victory after goals from Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Alli had a big part to play in the second goal as Crystal Palace were unable to clear his cross before Richarlison hooked the ball past Jack Butland in goal.

His introduction for Andre Gomes brought a greater threat to Everton’s attacking play, helping them get up the pitch to turn the game on its head.
