Alisha Lehmann called ‘supermodel’ by team-mate after new Instagram post

Alisha Lehmann has been called a supermodel by her Aston Villa team-mate following another stunning social media upload.

The Switzerland international forward has caught the eye of 400,000 fans as well as colleague Maz Pacheco in posting a black and white snap to her 14.7million followers on the photo sharing platform.

The snap shows the 24-year-old looking down the camera while enjoying a dinner after her nation were eliminated from the World Cup. Defender Pacheco said in a comment: "Supermodel?"

The outing came a matter of days after Switzerland reached the knockout stages of the 2023 World Cup only to be beaten 5-1 by Spain, who have gone on to reach the final.

She recently told The Times: "A lot of people only see the social side [of my life, via Instagram] and not actually how I play football.

"About this, I’m sometimes disappointed because I work hard every day. I train every day and I want to be the best player I can be.

"They don’t really know how I play. I’m always saying, ‘Watch a game please’ — and then they’re surprised."
