Alexis Mac Allister ripped by Liverpool team-mates spotting his phone background
Alexis Mac Allister has been mercilessly trolled by his new Liverpool teammate over his phone background.
The Argentine became Jurgen Klopp’s first signing of the summer transfer window, arriving from Brighton for a £35million fee last month.
Mac Allister has already been put through his paces in his first training session at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre on Tuesday, having to go through Klopp’s excruciating lactate test.
But the 24-year-old was also given a warm welcome by veteran teammate Virgil van Dijk on his first day, who befriended Mac Allister with some light-hearted banter.

A viral clip showed the newcomer laying down on a treatment table as Van Dijk walked past. The Dutchman, who was knocked out of the World Cup by eventual winner Mac Allister's Argentina side, looked back and spotted the midfielder’s phone wallpaper.
Van Dijk chuckled and gave a knowing nod while showing the camera Mac Allister’s phone – which had a picture of himself holding the World Cup trophy. The Argentine let out a laugh, with fans loving the chemistry between the players already.

One Twitter user wrote: “I laughed so hard at this,” while another tweeted: “This club’s such good vibes.”
A third added: “Such a nice guy Virgil. My respect,” and a fourth wrote: “Enemies become friends.”
And a fifth gushed: “Barely in the door and the lads are already doing ‘won a world cup have we’ jokes at Alexis. Love them to pieces.”
The Netherlands were beaten 4-3 on penalties by Argentina in one of the most fiery and gripping fixtures of the tournament. The match ended 2-2, with the Dutch launching a late comeback courtesy of a Wout Weghorst double, before losing out on spot-kicks.
But that almost played second-fiddle to the bitter hostilities. Lionel Messi famously celebrated by cupping his ears at rival manager Louis van Gaal before several altercations broke out, including Van Dijk complete flattening Mac Allister’s midfield partner Leandro Paredes.
