After initially arriving at the Amex in 2019, Mac Allister spent two successive spells away on loan in his home country, before nailing down a spot in the side at the start of 2021-22, when he became one of the Seagull’s more prominent players.

So far this season he has appeared in all 14 of De Zerbi’s sides Premier League matches, scoring five times in the process, including a brace against Leicester in September.

The Seagulls will also be without Danny Welbeck for the trips to Charlton and Southampton, after the English forward picked up a minor injury in a mid-season encounter with Aston Villa in Dubai.
