Liverpool fans cannot believe Darwin Nunez’s hilarious failure to answer how many times Liverpool have won the Champions League.

Positioned alongside his fellow team-mate Alexis Mac Allister, the duo were asked a series of questions about Liverpool FC.

Asked how many Champions League trophies the Reds have won, Nunez answers: ‘Three.’

As the Uruguayan striker learns his answer is wrong, Mac Allister can be seen with his head in his hand.

The Argentinian World Cup winner then repeatedly says: ‘No, no, no,’ while also laughing.

While Nunez’s quiz skills need work, the striker has hit the ground running so far for Liverpool this season scoring seven goals in 17 games and also assisting six times.

Signed from Benfica in 2022 for £64million, Nunez struggled to adapt to the pace of the league and attracted negative attention from the media.

However, after being given a string of starts by manager Jurgen Klopp – Nunez appears to have found some form.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen, however, suggested Nunez has ‘so many gaps in his game’ after he missed an easy tap-in during his side’s 2-0 win over Union-Saint Gilloise.

Owen said in his post match analysis that it surprised him how much quality Nunez was lacking in certain areas, and that he expected more from someone with such a hefty pricetag.
