Alejandro Garnacho’s place in the Manchester United starting XI appears to be under threat following a cryptic message from his brother on social media.
The 19-year-old was given the nod from the start in Monday’s uninspiring Premier League opener against Wolves but failed to impress and was replaced by Jadon Sancho on the hour.
Having narrowly, and controversially, beaten a Wolves side many expected to be in danger of relegation this season, Ten Hag is expected to ring the changes for Saturday evening’s clash with Tottenham.
And the Argentina international, who forced his way into the starting line-up last term before sustaining an ankle injury in February, could be set for a return to the bench if his brother’s post is to be believed.
Roberto Garnacho wrote on Friday: ‘If you all knew things that I know you would understand more about who starts and who do not.’

Erik ten Hag is expected to make a few changes to the team that struggled against Wolves
United were extremely fortunate to take all three points from the game against Gary O’Neil’s side.
The Red Devils travel to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium to take on a new-look Spurs team under Ange Postecoglou.
Ten Hag would have noted the London club’s new-found attacking impetus and will be wary of giving up as many chances to the likes of Son Heung-min, Jams Maddison and Richarlison.
The Dutch manager could also drop new signing Mason Mount to the bench after his lacklustre debut, while Marcus Rashford is expected to continue down the middle with Rasmus Hojlund still absent through injury.
