Alan Shearer jokes he will fly Harry Kane to Bayern after last-gasp hold up
Alan Shearer has offered to fly Harry Kane to Germany himself if it means helping the Tottenham striker seal his big-money move to Bayern Munich in the coming days after the deal hit a last-minute snag. The Spurs talisman is expected to join the Bundesliga champions in a deal rising to around £100million after agreeing personal terms and has received permission to travel, but Shearer joked he is willing to help Kane reach Bavaria after it was revealed there is a small obstacle holding up the deal.
The 30-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract worth a rumoured £400,000-a-week with the German champions after chairman Daniel Levy finally caved to their relentless pursuit of the England captain.
Spurs gave permission to Kane to travel to Munich before ‘revoking’ it on Friday morning when the striker was waiting at the airport in London, with a matter of small details still left to be ironed out.
Sensing an opportunity to protect his long-standing record, Shearer stepped in with his own offer to ‘fly’ Kane to Munich with a hilarious photoshopped image.
