Al-Nassr are reportedly considering bringing David de Gea to Saudi Arabia after the goalkeeper became a free agent.
De Gea’s Manchester United contract has expired, and while he could be re-signed by the Red Devils, there is significant belief that the Spanish goalkeeper’s next step will be elsewhere.
And with all the speculation of players moving to Saudi Arabia – and the wealth of talent those clubs have already acquired – it was natural to expect that de Gea could be among those making their way across to the Middle East.
The Sun report that Al-Nassr are considering making an offer to tempt the 32-year-old to the club – where he would be reuniting with former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
It is believed he could pocket £250,000-a-week if he agrees to take up a role between the sticks at Al-Nassr.

However, the Portuguese megastar was unable to guide Al-Nassr to a title, as they finished second in the Saudi Pro League, five points behind winners Al-Ittihad.
Al-Nassr are also close to securing a deal for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, but a move for Hakim Ziyech hangs in the balance after the Chelsea midfielder failed a medical in Saudi Arabia with a knee problem that reduced his salary offer.
Manchester United U-turned on a new contract for de Gea, although the goalkeeper would stay at Old Trafford if a compromise can be met about new deal terms.
De Gea made 545 appearances for Manchester United since joining the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid for £18.9m in 2011, winning the Premier League title in the 2012-13 season.
The end of his 12 years in Manchester has led many fans to revisit the best and worst moments in a United shirt, from a masterclass performance against Arsenal in 2017 to a shocking sequence of errors against Brentford in his final season at the club.
De Gea and his fiancee Edurne Garcia are preparing for their wedding, which has also complicated matters, with the Spanish goalkeeper focusing on the nuptials instead of finalising his footballing future.
