As the domestic campaigns across Europe begin, clubs are still unveiling their new kits for the season.
Ajax and Adidas, in collaboration with Bob Marleys’s family, have unveiled the club’s new 2021-22 third kit, paying tribute to the iconic Reggae artist.
The kit is a tribute to the Dutch club’s fans and their love for Marley’s song – ‘Three Little Birds’.

The black kit includes red, yellow and green details some of the colours Marley used to wear
The black kit also includes red, yellow and green details and at the back of it. Under the collar, three birds are sat on on Amsterdam’s Andreas crosses – referring to the song.
Ajax’s association with the song began in 2008 during a friendly against Cardiff City, in the Welsh capital.
The fans were asked to remain in the stadium after the game and ‘Three little birds’ was blasted out. It quickly became a fans’ favourite song to the point that it’s now played during every home game.

Fans took it to Twitter to express their opinions on the new kit – and it wasn’t just Ajax supporters who were delighted with it.
‘This kit is FIRE!!!!! yooo I will buy this!!!’, said a Chelsea fan.
‘Ajax always nails it when it comes to their kits’, an Arsenal fan tweeted.
An Ajax fan added, ‘These are nice third shirts’.
The Dutch side will wear the kit alongside their home one during their Champions League games this season.
