Ex-Burnley manager Sean Dyche revealed he is still being offered players, despite getting sacked five months ago.

The Englishman was surprisingly offloaded by the Clarets in April with the club neck deep in a relegation dogfight. Dyche is yet to find another job in English football, but has been linked with Bournemouth, who are yet to replace Scott Parker.

Considering Dyche’s excellent track record of getting the best out of the players with limited resources, he will certainly not be short of potential suitors. And he could have an army of players to choose from when he eventually takes up his next job.

“There’s been conversations in the past but you know it’s more sounding out,” Dyche said to LadBibleTV. “You’ve got to remember in the industry that it is, you might have an agent but that doesn’t stop other agents phoning you.

“I’ve had some funny ones for you. Recently, I have been getting WhatsAPPS from European agents. They are saying ‘would you be interested in this player?’.

“I have to put ‘you do realise I’m not in a job anymore?’” Dyche managed Watford for only one season, before eventually moving to Burnley in October 2012.

He remained at Turf Moor for ten years, gaining promotion to the Premier League on two occasions and consolidating their position in the top flight for seven out of eight seasons. And he has evidently earned himself a reputation, as Dyche also added that it is not the first time agents have been at his feet offering their clients.

“We call it trawling,” Dyche added. “They’ll just throw it out there and hope to get a bite.

“You know what I mean? They will just trawl and hope somewhere or another you might get another job. They don’t even know.”
