Adrien Rabiot has opened up on his ‘goal’ to play in the Premier League amid talk of a potential move to Manchester United.
Rabiot has been in fine form for both club and country this season, having followed up a strong start to his domestic campaign with Juventus by playing a key part in France’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals.
However, his long-term future at Juve remains in doubt with his current contract set to expire next summer, a situation not helped by the recent resignation of the club’s entire board.

Rabiot’s Juventus future is in doubt beyond the summer despite his strong start to the season
United have emerged as potential suitors in recent months amid Erik ten Hag’s desire to bolster his midfield – with reports claiming a proposed transfer collapsed in the summer due to a dispute over wages – but the Premier League side would be eligible to begin talks over a free transfer at the turn of the year.
While on France duty in Qatar, Rabiot admitted that he has plans to move to England at some point in his career.
‘I have always said that I would like to play in England in my career,’ the 27-year-old said. ‘Will it be at the end of my contract? I don’t know, but I have this goal.
‘I don’t have a favourite team, there isn’t really a club where I would necessarily like to play. It is above all [that] its level attracts me. I also think that the way of playing corresponds more to my qualities.’
That could open the door for Man United to come back in after talks collapsed last summer
Rabiot is said to be demanding £8.6million net per year to stay at Juventus, who are considering letting him depart Turin on a free in July.
The Frenchman enjoyed an impressive start to the season under Massimiliano Allegri before heading off to the World Cup, registering five goals and two assists in 16 appearances for Juve.
And he is certainly keeping that momentum going out in Qatar, having drawn France level in their opening 4-1 victory over Australia, while also proving instrumental in further wins against Denmark and Poland.
On Saturday Rabiot could put himself in the shop window when Les Bleus take on England, with United and a host of other clubs likely to be running the rule over the soon-to-be free agent.
