Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is at the centre of a “hippy crack” storm after filming himself in a hotel room with pals who were inhaling from balloons.
The £90,000-a-week star can be seen sitting on a sofa with a man clutching a canister of Smartwhip, which contains nitrous oxide.
In the footage, Wan-Bissaka is holding a red balloon and singing while the unknown man sucks from another with the cylinder in his hand in the background.
We are not suggesting that Wan-Bissaka inhaled from a balloon.
He sent the clips to friends from the £8,000-a-night suite at the five-star Grosvenor House Suites in Mayfair, west London, last month.
Footage also shows the 23-year-old and at least three others being served lunch by a private butler in the hotel’s Hyde Park Suite.
They then head out in a chauffeur-driven car in which they can also be seen holding balloons and laughing.
A source said: “Forget a red balloon, this will go down like a lead balloon with the club.”
The hotel break was on November 13, days after United’s 2-0 defeat to rivals City and a week before a 4-1 loss to Watford.
In September, defender Wan-Bissaka – who joined United for £50million in 2019 – admitted driving his £160,000 Lamborghini Urus while disqualified.

Inhaling nitrous oxide, nicknamed hippy crack, carries a risk of heart attacks and brain damage.
It has been linked to at least 36 deaths. Also known as laughing gas, it is used for pain relief in dental procedures but is abused as a party drug.
It is not currently illegal to possess it, but it is in line to be outlawed under a drugs crackdown.
Its sale is prohibited in England and Wales to under-18s if there is a risk they will inhale it.
We have approached Man Utd and Wan-Bissaka’s representative for comment.
