Aaron Ramsey told to return to Juve as Celtic hammer Rangers in Old Firm derby

Fans have been ripping into Aaron Ramsey following Rangers' humiliating 3-0 defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Wednesday.

The Juventus midfielder's loan move to Rangers was arguably one of the most shocking January transfer window deals, but people are now claiming that Ramsey may already be regretting the move.

Goals from Reo Hatate and Liel Abada settled the tie as Celtic leapfrogged their city rivals into first place in the Scottish Premiership.

A lack of fitness meant Ramsey, who has made just five appearances for Juventus all season, missed the tie, much to the frustration of Gers fans.

The former Arsenal man has been out of sorts ever since leaving for Italy, but many on social media have jokingly suggested that he's now probably desperate to get back there.

"Aaron Ramsey's looking for his passport back to Juventus," tweeted one fan.

Another said: "Rumour has it Aaron Ramsey [is] at the airport boarding a plane to Turin.

A third wrote: "Has Aaron Ramsey got a flight back to Turin yet?"

The defeat is the first match manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has lost since replacing Steven Gerrard at the helm at Ibrox in November.

Despite winning the title last season by 25 points, Rangers are already feeling the heat from their arch rivals, who have stormed back into the title picture with 11 wins from their last 12 league outings.

Ramsey became the highest-earning British player in history when he joined Juventus after signing an eye-watering £400,000-a-week contract.

Despite the mega deal, the Wales international has failed to nail down a place in Juventus' first team, and has been all but discarded by Massimiliano Allegri, who replaced Andrea Pirlo in the summer.
