Aaron Ramsdale was left red-faced after he failed to deal with Bruno Fernandes’ strike from distance.
A ghastly mistake from Ramsdale saw Arsenal fall behind on the half-hour mark in their pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
The United skipper opened the scoring for Erik ten Hag’s side but his left-footed strike from outside the box should’ve been dealt with by the Gunners stopper.
Ramsdale was able to get down to the Portuguese’s shot, which was low to his right-hand side but not close to the corner, but the Englishman could only push the ball in the top corner.

The Gunners' number one was criticised on Twitter as fans called him out over the mistake that saw Arsenal fall behind, with one fan labelling him "Poppadom wrists."
Ramsdale was in for me weak wrist puns, as others dubbed him "Kit-Kat wrists" and "Weetabix wrists."

Things went from bad to worse for Ramsdale as Jadon Sancho doubled Manchester United’s lead just seven minutes later as he fired home into the roof of the net at Ramsdale’s near post from just inside the 18-yard box.
Ramsdale was later left flat-footed by the final effort of the first half that saw Alejandro Garnacho cut inside from the right wing and curl a whipping left-footed shot just wide of the far top corner.
With the European Championships to be played at the end of the upcoming season and England’s perfect start to their qualifying campaign putting them in the perfect position to see them reach the finals in Germany.
The number one spot will be a close-fought battle between Ramsdale and current number one Jordan Pickford, who has played all three of England’s major tournaments under Gareth Southgate.
It’s far from the best of starts for Ramsdale and Arsenal fans will hope it’s just a one off as they look to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title once again.
