Clubs across Europe looking for a bargain this summer are certainly spoiled for choice.
A number of players have come to the end of their contracts at their respective sides and will be available to sign for free as of today.
The majority of football contracts have an expiration date of June 30, resulting in a number of individuals now appearing in the market after failing to agree fresh terms with their clubs.
Many sides will not have much money to spend this summer compared to previous years as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and could be forced to turn their attention to some cheaper alternatives.
Among those out of contract are none other than Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos.
Messi came close to leaving Barcelona last summer, but was left in an awkward position as a potential deal to Manchester City never came about.
The La Liga giants were confident of agreeing a new deal with their star man, though nothing has been announced by Barcelona and Messi is officially free to speak with other clubs.
Ramos, meanwhile, was willing to extend his stay at the Bernabeu but admitted a deal was taken away from him at the last minute by Los Blancos.
Messi and Ramos are certainly the biggest names up for grabs this summer, but who else could be considered?
Daily Star Sport have rounded up the possible options…
