Dean Richards included three of his England contingent in the Newcastle squad to face Gloucester on Saturday and explained the boost their call-ups has given everyone in the area.
Prop Trevor Davison and No 8 Callum Chick take their places in the Falcons starting pack at Kingsholm, while hooker Jamie Blamire is on the bench.
The other member of the England quartet, electric wing Adam Radwan, has been rested due to a minor injury but Richards welcomed the inclusion of all four men for the autumn campaign.

‘We’re delighted to have four boys included who represent all corners of our patch,’ said director of rugby Richards. ‘You’ve got Jamie Blamire from over in Cumbria, Callum Chick from Ponteland, Adam Radwan from Teesside and North Yorkshire and then Trevor Davison from the city itself.
‘It’s brilliant and really gives a good representation of guys from our area who have all got very different backgrounds and stories. They’re all good boys. It speaks volumes for our academy and the players themselves.
‘For years, Mark Wilson was the only Newcastle player who got credit at England level, so it’s great we’re getting more of a presence there.’
