Manly fume at ‘disgusting’ Eels for citing star player ahead of junior league grand final

The bitter rivalry between the Manly Sea Eagles and the Parramatta Eels has reached fever pitch in the lead-up to this weekend’s junior league grand finals.

Wide World of Sports’ The Mole reported Manly are furious that their gun five-eighth and Harold Matthews Cup star Latu Fainu was cited and appeared before the judiciary on a lifting tackle charge.

Manly has accused Parramatta of having Fainu cited, with the boom playmaker eventually acquitted after a gruelling 90-minute hearing.
