Cripps to face MRO scrutiny over Ah Chee clash
Carlton captain Patrick Cripps is certain to come under match review scrutiny for making high contact on Lions winger Callum Ah Chee at the Gabba.
Cripps’ feet left the ground as he crashed into Ah Chee, who was in the hands of trainers for several minutes.
Ah Chee was assessed for concussion and substituted out of the game, replaced by Mitch Robinson, as tempers on the ground began to fray in the second quarter.

The Blues are seventh but vulnerable to slipping out of the eight with tough contests against Melbourne and Collingwood to come. Richmond are two points behind them in eighth, while St Kilda are a game behind in ninth and Western Bulldogs a game further back in 10th.
Carlton failed to score a goal in the first quarter but fought their way back into the game after the Cripps clash. However, the Lions pulled away to hold a comfortable lead at half-time.
