Anderson returns to North Melbourne, ending vaccination stand-off
North Melbourne midfielder Jed Anderson has complied with the AFL’s vaccination policy and returned to Arden Street for training on Wednesday morning.
The 28-year-old has spent the pre-season in Darwin after suffering an adverse reaction to his first vaccination dose for COVID-19.

He could have been placed on the club’s inactive list if he did not comply with the league’s vaccination policy, which mandated that every player needed to be fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption to return to training.
The Kangaroos would only confirm that he was back at training and was eligible to return to the club under the league’s health and safety protocols, and were unable to comment on whether he had the second dose.
His return leaves West Coast’s Jack Darling as the only other listed player yet to meet the deadlines set out in the league’s vaccination policy, with the Eagles’ board expected to discuss his future on Wednesday.
