Max Verstappen tells Lewis Hamilton ‘deal with it’ as pair reignite rivalry
Max Verstappen has told Lewis Hamilton "deal with it" after he called for an F1 rule change to curb Red Bull's superiority.
The rivals are no strangers to clashing on and off the track and Hamilton reignited their rivalry ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend by proposing a date restriction on when teams can start developing their car for the following season.
He told reporters on Thursday (June 29): "It's likely that bit by bit by the end of the year we'll catch Red Bull, but that's only because they're probably already focusing on next year's car because they're so far ahead.
"They don't have to make any changes to this year's car anymore. It's cruising at 100 points ahead of us.

"I think the FIA should probably put a time when everyone is allowed to start developing next year's car. Say August 1, so that no one can get an advantage on them next year, because that sucks."
Naturally, the reigning world champion was asked about Hamilton's suggestion later that same day – and he gave a typical Verstappen response.
"We were not talking about this when he was winning his championships, right, so I don't think we should now," he said when speaking to Sky Sport.

"That is how Formula One works. When you have a competitive car it is great, but at some point you have to look ahead to the following year."
Verstappen went on to add in the FIA press conference: "A lot of things in life are unfair. You just have to deal with it."
He heads into the ninth race weekend of the season as the championship leader with 195 points – 69 ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez, who sits second, and 93 ahead of fourth-placed Hamilton.
