Max Verstappen has crashed into the wall during qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with the Red Bull driver on course to snatch pole position from Lewis Hamilton as the championship takes another twist with two races remaining. Hamilton will start from pole position as he looks to close the gap to Verstappen to take the fight down to the wire for the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
On course for pole on his final lap after setting two purple sectors, the Dutchman got out of shape with one corner to go on track, locking his front tyres in desperation to grab the top spot, smacking into the wall.
