Max Verstappen rages at Red Bull team in expletive-laden rant during British GP
Max Verstappen was left fuming with his Red Bull team as he endured a nightmare British Grand Prix
The championship leader was favourite for victory at Silverstone after showing strong pace all weekend, despite being pipped to pole position by the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz.
Verstappen led off the line, but the race was immediately red-flagged following Zhou Guanyu’s horrifying crash which him flip upside down and career into the catch fencing. Sainz led away from the restart, but Verstappen took the lead when the Spaniard made a mistake and ran off the track. The Dutchman looked set to race off into the distance at the point, only for his race to unravel in dramatic fashion.

Verstappen had to make an early pit-stop after suffering what appeared to be a puncture. The Red Bull team fitted a pair of medium tyres which their star driver wasn’t happy with.
“I don't know why the f*** you put me on these tyres, given the damage," Verstappen screamed at his engineer. "I'm driving like I'm on ice.”

He continued to complain about the condition of his car and at one point said, “my car is 100 per cent broken”. Although his pace was poor, he managed limp home in seventh, just ahead of the Haas of Mick Schumacher, as Sainz took a thrilling victory.
A late safety car bunched the pack up and produced an epic finale with Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez all looking like potential winners at one stage.
Perez eventually finished second with Hamilton third while Leclerc held off the Alpine of Fernando Alonso to finish fourth. McLaren’s Lando Norris was sixth.
