Lewis Hamilton was issued a threat by Fernando Alonso moments after the Mercedes star trolled his ex-team-mate. Hamilton and Alonso enjoyed the hilarious exchange when conducting an interview just minutes after the race.
It came after Hamilton got the better of Alonso at the start, launching himself past the Aston Martin to take P2 on lap one. Reacting to the move, Hamilton said: “His reactions are a little slow…it’s an age thing.”
But, Alonso was standing right beside the seven-time champion and pulled a face at his remark. When asked if he heard the comment, 41-year-old Alonso replied “I did, I did.”
The Spaniard then issued a threat to Hamilton as he made it clear he would get Hamilton back at the next Grand Prix. Beaming from ear to ear, Alonso added: “In Austria, two weeks’ time.”
Alonso then slapped Hamilton on the back with the Mercedes driver laughing back at the awkward moment.
