Lewis Hamilton’s engineers were spotted frantically working on Hamilton’s car just minutes before the start of the United States Grand Prix. Mechanics from the Silver Arrows appeared to be working on Hamilton’s brakes on the grid ahead of the start.

Martin Brundle stressed the mechanics were “pulling pieces” off the car as he passed the Mercedes on his pre-race grid walk. Raising concerns, he stressed there was a “lot of work going on” in what could be a blow to the seven-time champion.

Brundle explained: “They are doing some work on the front and they are busy pulling pieces off the front of Lewis hamilton;s nbtrakes here.
