Hamilton engineer demands finally met as Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari probed
Formula One preview: A lap of the Australian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton has made it no secret over the last 12 months that he is unhappy with his Mercedes vehicle, though change appears to be on the horizon for the Brit. His team are proposing ‘fundamental’ adjustments for 2024, which will be music to the ears of their driver.
Hamilton has never shied away from criticising the design team at Mercedes, calling for them to show accountability in March for failing to listen to his advice and demands. Though Toto Wolff has provided the 38-year-old with an encouraging message when speaking to the press earlier this week.
He said: “The good thing is that we are constantly learning about what the car is doing. There are going to be some fundamental design changes for next year, but it’s not that we’re building stuff.”
The statement comes at a time when Mercedes are among a host of teams reportedly set to be investigated for breaching cost cap regulations, though it remains to be seen whether the FIA make their probing plans. Express Sport brings you all the latest…
