George Russell ‘signed Mercedes contract in Toto Wolff’s office’ after Dutch GP
George Russell has reportedly signed a contract with Mercedes after he went to Toto Wolff's office following the finish of the Dutch Grand Prix.
Valtteri Bottas is out of contract at the end of the season, and rumours have been circulating about who is going to join Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes for the 2022 campaign.
And Nico Rosberg has claimed on Sky Sports F1 that Russell has signed with Mercedes after reports of a film crew being called to Wolff's office.
Netflix's Drive to Survive documentary team were reportedly called to his office after being called to witness 'contracts being signed' Rosberg claimed.
"By the way on George Russell, I've got a rumour," the 2016 Drivers World Champion told Sky Sports F1.
"A certain streaming service was called into the office of Toto to film the signatures.
"That's the rumour that is circulating in the paddock."
Bottas, on the other hand, has been linked with a return to his former side Williams, while he has also been linked to replace a retiring Kimi Raikkonen at Alfa Romeo.

Hamilton was full of compliments for Russell ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix: "The only highlight from last week was his qualifying lap – it was amazing, he is humble. He has a great approach.
"Being British I would imagine probably helps in terms of communication.
"At the moment, naturally I have to be super-supportive of the teammate I have right now. So that's why I'm always supportive of Valtteri – because we have a job to do right now.
"Neither of us can win the team championship alone. We have to do it collectively.
"George has already shown incredible driving and I'm sure he's going to continue to grow. So where better to do it than in a great team like this, or whatever team he goes to?"
