Four career paths for Lewis Hamilton if he retires from F1 – including singing
Lewis Hamilton's future in Formula One remains undecided following the controversial ending to the 2021 season – but he won't be short of options should be fancy a new career path.
The six-time champion of the world has stepped away from the limelight since his last-gasp defeat against Max Verstappen in Abu Dhabi, which stopped him from surpassing Michael Schumacher on the all-time standings.
The 37-year-old hasn't posted on Instagram since before that race, with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff saying that the driver may well quit the sport before the 2022 campaign.
With that in mind, Daily Star Sport has taken a look at four possible career plans for Hamilton, all of which he has laid the groundwork for during his motor racing career.
Fashion
Hamilton has had a close connection with American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger since the launch of his TOMMYXLEWIS range during New York Fashion Week back in 2018.
Having also worn their logo on his Mercedes jump-suit and car, Hamilton could well spend more time working on design when his career in F1 comes to an end.
Hilfiger had said of the driver: "He's not afraid to take risks. And he has a cool and sophisticated style that really speaks to the new generation of Tommy fans."

Music
Hamilton is also big on music, revealing in July 2020 that he featured on Christina Aguilera's 2018 song "Pipe" while using the pseudonym XNDA.
He once said: "Music has been a huge passion of mine since I was really young. I started playing guitar when I was 13. In here, I can be me, I can be vulnerable. I can show a side of me that people don't get to see."
Having loved creating sounds since his childhood, it's a safe bet to say that Hamilton will spend more time working within the music industry going forward.
Hollywood
Hamilton has forayed into film during the last few years of his racing career, and has six acting credits to his name including Cars 2, Cars 3 and Zoolander 2.
He later told DAZN: "I would like to act one day. I want to be the best, in everything I do, I want to be the best, to do the best I can.
“So, if I’m going to do a film I’ll go to classes, I’ll study and make sure I express the emotions like I should. I don’t have the time right now, so I guess it’s something I’ll do when I retire."
Restauranter
Back in September of 2019, Hamilton launched a vegan restaurant named Neat Burger.
Neat Burger claimed to be the 'first international plant-based burger chain' and was crowned the Best Vegan Restaurant of the Year at the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards in 2020.
Neat Burger won the same award in 2021, before being named Company of the Year by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
