Hamilton opens up on plans to remain in F1 ahead of 2023 season
Lewis Hamilton has been tipped to join Ferrari if he walks away from Mercedes as contract talks continue. Former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan has claimed a move to Scuderia would be a “match made in heaven” as both sides have ambitions to reach the top.
The Irishman also stressed it would be his “dream” for Hamilton to join the Italian marque. It comes after Hamilton is yet to put pen to paper on a new agreement at Mercedes with his current deal set to expire at the end of the year.
Meanwhile, fans have demanded Max Verstappen is stripped of his maiden world title with a petition reaching a historic milestone. More than 100,000 people have now signed a poll calling for the Dutchman to lose his maiden crown and Hamilton to be awarded the title.
Lewis Hamilton tipped for Ferrari move
Eddie Jordan has called on Lewis Hamilton to ditch Mercedes and join Ferrari in a stunning transfer.
Hamilton’s current contract with the Silver Arrows expires at the end of 2023 with a new contract yet to be agreed.
However. Jordan feels a move to Ferrari would be perfect for Hamilton as it would give him a new challenge.
He told Express Sport: “There’s only one place he could go to in my opinion and that is Ferrari.
“A guy with the talent that he is, and I think it might be a [match made] in heaven. I think Ferrari need shaking up and I think Lewis Hamilton needs shaking up, if they are going to continue.
“If Lewis is going to continue then I think he needs a change. For his mindset, for his drive, for an initiative, for fun.”

Max Verstappen faces calls to lose title
Over 100,000 people have now signed a poll demanding Max Verstappen’s first world title be “overturned”.
Organisers feel the result of the 2021 Abu Dhabi should be changed as “justice was not served”.
It comes just days after ex-F1 driver Tiff Needell claimed fan action would not force F1 bosses to change the final result.
The FIA has accepted “human error” was to blame for the controversial finish but have claimed the race result cannot be updated.
