F1 fans do double take as former world champ goes on ‘most random side quest’
F1 icon Sebastian Vettel looked on with fascination from inside an operating theatre while watching brain surgery.
The four-time drivers' world champion, who retired from the sport at the end of the 2022 season, has filled some of his spare time with a visit to Municipal Clinic in Dresden, Germany.
The 35-year-old donned a hair net and mask as he watched a surgeon remove a piece of bone with a scalpel before attempting to remove a cyst from the part of the brain responsible for movement.
Vettel said when asked if it could be his new career: "The craft is of course very, very exciting. But I'd have to sit on the school bench and learn for too long."
