10 gorgeous wags of British F1 drivers past and present – including Lando Norris
Formula1 returns for the Belgian Grand Prix after a 28 day hiatus – and so too will the many wives and partners of the drivers.
Max Verstappen may still be cruising, but Lewis Hamilton’s vastly improved second place finish at the Hungarian GP suggests there are still many twists and turns to come. George Russell’s podium finish at the Hungaroring suggests British motor racing will be in safe hands for some time, even if Hamilton is able to catch Verstappen in the near feature.
Where there has been significant British presence on the track and, there has also been an equally strong support for those drivers from the stands. And with the wives and partners also returning for the Belgian Grand Prix along with the drivers, Daily Star Sport considers ten of Britain’s greatest drivers’ other halves.

Lando Norris
Lando Norris’ ascent into the F1 world is a story straight from the greatest sporting romance stories. And in similarly romantic fashion, Norris revealed his relationship with Portuguese model Luisinha Oliveira during a holiday in Dubai.
With the backdrop of the breathtaking Rub al Khali desert at sunrise, Norris posted a photo of them sharing a kiss beneath the orange sky. Norris will one day be hoping that he and Oliveira can soon share a kiss beneath a typhoon of victory champagne.
George Russell
How far do you see George Russell's career going in F1? Let us know in the comments section.
Shortly after being named Hamilton’s team mate, Russell was reported to have began a relationship with Carmen Montero. However, Montero’s background does not lie in all things behind the wheel.
Having graduated with a degree in business management and finance from the University of Westminster, Montero’s mind is as sharp as Russell’s reactions. While she is now working at an investment firm, she is often seen attending races and supporting the Brit from the stands.
David Coulthard
At the start of the year, reports fromthe Daily Mailclaimed Coulthard was dating Swedish model Sigrid Silversand. Coulthard had been married to wife of nine years Karen Minier, but the pair are believed to have split at the start of 2021.
The Brit recorded 13 wins and 62 podium finishes during his spectacular F1 career. Coulthard is still understood to be seeing Silversand at this current moment.
Eddie Irvine
Similarly to fellow Brit, James Hunt, Irvine was well known for his ‘playboy’ persona around the motor racing world. During his peak years, Irvine enjoyed some dazzling battles with the likes of Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher when F1 was enjoying some of its most spectacular years.
But the excitement carried on away from the track, as Irvine is believed to have dated the likes of Manuela Arcuri, Pamela Anderson and Kate Moss. But while he has never been married, he does have a daughter named Zoe from a previous relationship with Maria Drummon.
James Hunt
James Hunt’s list of former girlfriends stretches further than his achievements – and he is often revered as being one of the best drivers of his generations. Considering the fact Hunt had ‘Sex-Breakfast of Champions’ emblazoned on his overalls and has previously claimed to have slept with 5000 women.
However, he did marry model Suzy Miller, only for the pair to separate after barely 14 months of marriage. Hunt went on to marry Sarah Lomaz, the mother of his two sons Tom and Freddie, in 1983, but they also separated in 1988.
Jenson Button
After four years of engagement, Button tied the knot with his model partner Brittny Ward in a ceremony in Palm Desert California. But when the former McLaren ace was still donning the overalls and the helmet, he was supported by his long term partner Jessica Michibata.
Button and Michibata had been by each other’s side since the year he won his only F1 World Championship. But one year after marrying each other, the couple amicably parted ways at the tail end of December 2015.
Jim Clark
Jim Clark was an assertive and aggressive driver, but his demeanour away from motor racing was considerably more laid back and relaxed. The silent Scot never married, but he did strike up a loving relationship with his girlfriend Sally Swart.
Swat, a young photographic model, was constantly by Clark’s side during his peak years in racing during the 1950s and 1960s. Swart did eventually split up with Clark to marry Ed Swart, another Dutch racing driver, but the pair remained very close friends.
Nigel Mansell
Nigel Mansell has been married to his loving spouse Roseanne Mansell since 1975. The Brit won his one and only F1 World Championship 17 years after the pair tied the knot.
Roseanne met Mansell when they were both undergraduates and have loved each other very much ever since. The pair have two children Leo and Gregg, who both compete in the Formula BMW UK Championship.
Lewis Hamilton
Rumours around Lewis Hamilton's dating life have always followed him through his F1 career. Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Rita Ora have all been linked to the seven-time world champion in the past.
However, his most famous relationship was with former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger. The couple were very on and off for the best part of eight years between 2007 and 2015. The couple announced their split seven years ago, citing their very busy schedules as the main reason for their difficult separation.
Damon Hill
In 1996, Damon Hill followed in his illustrious Father’s footsteps by becoming the first son of a F1 World Champion to go on and win the Championship himself. But while his iconic Dad, Graham was pushed and partnered by his loving wife Bette Hill, also known as the First Lady of F1, Hill’s success was shared with his loving spouse Susan George.
The pair, who are still married today, had four children Oliver, Joshua, Tabitha, and Rosie. No other family has managed to repeat the illustrious feat both Hill Senior and Junior managed to accomplish.
