Will Aaron Rodgers play vs. Seahawks? Packers QB gives update on status for Week 10 matchup
Aaron Rodgers may be back with the Pack this Sunday.
On a pure football level, Rodgers was out this past weekend and there’s a chance he could play this weekend, and it sounds like the Packers QB may be taking snaps this Sunday.
Speaking on his usual Tuesday spot on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers delved into many things: Jordan Love’s performance, his status as a “role model,” but also offered some insight to whether or not he’ll be playing.
To that end, it sounds like Rodgers will be ready to play this Sunday — as long as he passes certain “hurdles.” Here’s what he said:
Will Aaron Rodgers play vs. Seahawks?
On Tuesday’s edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers sounded more certain than not that he’ll suit up vs. the Seahawks this Sunday.
“I think there’s a possibility (of not playing), but a small possibility,” Rodgers said.
Saturday, Nov. 13 is the earliest Rodgers can return to the field and must, again, test negative and be asymptomatic to be cleared to play on Sunday vs. the Seahawks. Should he be cleared then he’ll have only missed a single game while recovering from COVID-19.
The Packers quarterback made it a point to say he’s “feeling really good” during the interview and said that there are certain “health hurdles” he has to pass before returning to the field.
For skirting the NFL’s coronavirus protocols, Rodgers was fined $14,650 by the league for attending a Halloween party (a breach of protocol for unvaccinated players), and the Packers were slapped with a $300,000 fine, as well.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rodgers expressed remorse for “misleading” people with his comments regarding his vaccination status.
