Who plays on ‘Sunday Night Football’ tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 12 game

The AFC has 12 teams that sport a record of .500 or better and 10 that have an outright winning record. Incredibly, four of those 10 teams hail from the AFC North, and that makes the division one of the most unpredictable ones in the NFL.

The “Sunday Night Football” matchup this week will feature the first-place team in the AFC North taking on the team that is currently last place in the division. That means one of two things. Either the top team will win and create some more separation within the division, or the bottom-ranked team will win and further fuel the chaos.

And, well, they could tie, but let’s not think about how crazy things could get if that happens.

The Browns will be the visitors in this one and they are the last-place team in the division. Cleveland was once considered a trendy Super Bowl pick, but its offense hasn’t been as explosive as some hoped. The team averages just 205.6 passing yards per game, good for the eighth-fewest in the NFL, so Kevin Stefanski may need to jumpstart that this week.

The Ravens are the first-place team and the home team in this matchup. They won with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley playing in place of Lamar Jackson last week, and while they have been up-and-down at times, they have a strong rushing offense. The Browns’ defense will be a good test for them, but if Jackson is healthy, Baltimore will almost certainly be favored.

Below is more about the Week 12 matchup, plus everything to know about how to watch “Sunday Night Football.”

Who plays on ‘Sunday Night Football’ tonight?

The Browns (6-5) are traveling to Baltimore to face the Ravens (7-3) in a matchup that could swing the balance in a tightly-packed AFC North race.

Cleveland is over .500, but they are currently last place in the division. The Ravens are in first place, and a win over Cleveland would create two and a half games of separation between Baltimore and the Browns. It also would help them continue to challenge other top AFC teams like the Patriots, Titans and Chiefs as each team battles for the conference’s No. 1 seed.

The Ravens will likely get Lamar Jackson back for this game. Jackson was absent in Week 11 due to a non-COVID illness, so Tyler Huntley had to start at quarterback. Huntley managed to lead the Ravens to a win, but the offense largely struggled during the contest. It will be better under Jackson’s watch.

As for the Browns, their offense is sputtering as well. Baker Mayfield is all sorts of banged-up, so the team hasn’t been able to do much passing the ball. Jarvis Landry is a bit dinged-up too, so if the Browns are going to compete with Jackson and the Ravens, their running game, featuring Nick Chubb and D’Ernest Johnson, will have to do most of the work in the contest.

The Ravens have won three consecutive games against the Browns and have posted an 8-2 record against their divisional rival since 2016.
