Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest picker for Week 0 on ESPN
“College GameDay” should look a lot more familiar to fans in 2021, as the crew of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso get back to their week-by-week preview of the college football season.
It’s uncertain how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic will affect the “GameDay” operation, but it’s likely you’ll see the entire crew — Corso included — traveling to each location. That sense of normalcy will need to include fans and signage again, but that likely will be determined on a week-to-week basis as the games of the week reveal themselves.
That said, the show won’t be entirely the same in 2021: ESPN has declined to replace “GameDay” regular Maria Taylor after she left the network for NBC. According to a report by Front Office Sports, ESPN will instead look to its talent bench to get more reporters involved.
“There are no immediate plans to replace that role,” ESPN told Front Office Sports in a statement. “We look forward to kicking off the 35th season of College GameDay with our talented crew, including Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, and reporters Jen Lada and Gene Wojciechowski.”
Regardless, “GameDay” isn’t holding back with its first location: Atlanta. The crew will set up shop outside Center Parc Stadium for the MEAC/SWAC Challenge between Alcorn State and North Carolina Central. The show will not only look ahead to the game and the season as a whole, but celebrate the tradition and history of HBCUs in college football.
With that, here’s everything you need to know about “College GameDay” as it visits Atlanta.:

The opening episode of “GameDay” for 2021 will be in Atlanta for the inter-conference matchup between Alcorn State and North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge, a traditional HBCU matchup between the two conferences.
