Week 11 Fantasy QB Rankings
Sleepers and streamers remain important at quarterback, especially as we head toward the fantasy playoffs. Our Week 11 fantasy QB rankings can help you determine if you should stick with your usual starter or look for a potential waiver wire fill-in. This week, we lose only Matthew Stafford and Teddy Bridgewater to byes, but we get back four signal-callers in addition to a “new” name with plenty of dual-threat upside.
Sophomores Justin Herbert (vs. Steelers) and Joe Burrow (@ Raiders) have been studs this year, but they find themselves in tricky matchups this week. Both Pittsburgh and Las Vegas are in the top 10 for fewest fantasy points per game allowed to QBs, but Herbert and Burrow have shown us enough to warrant heavy starting consideration. You can’t really bench either unless you have another stud, so do what you have to do. Based on Burrow’s preseason ADP, you might just possess someone ranked ahead of him.
WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS:
Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Taking a look at streaming considerations, Baker Mayfield (vs. Lions), Daniel Jones (@ Buccaneers), Mac Jones (@ Falcons), and Jimmy Garoppolo (@ Jaguars) appear to be the best options if you’re needing a one-week answer. Tampa Bay and Dallas are among the eight worst defenses against the position, while Detroit and Jacksonville are right behind them. They’d be a lot worse on the stat sheet if their offenses were decent enough to keep opposing offenses passing.
WEEK 11 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
We’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little bit intrigued by Cam Newton (vs. Washington), assuming he gets the start. He’ll still have rushing upside and be used as a weapon at the goal line, but we’re not confident enough to rank him as a QB1. He could just as easily score 12 points as 25. That said, Washington is dead last in fantasy points per game allowed to QBs, so it’s not completely crazy to take a chance on him.
Justin Fields (vs. Ravens) is another gamble, but he looked like he was turning the corner during a stellar Week 9 against the Steelers. Making him even more enticing is that Baltimore was the 12th-worst defense against fantasy QBs heading into Week 10. Continue to monitor the quarterback situation for New Orleans, too. If Taysom Hill (@ Eagles) takes over the starting job, he’ll join the QB1 conversion with his rushing upside.
Carson Wentz (@ Bills) has been a huge help for streamer-needy teams, but he should grab a spot on your bench against the No.1 QB defense. Matt Ryan (vs. Patriots) has also emerged in recent weeks, but we’re not playing any mid-tier QBs against Bill Belichick and the Pats’ defense. Until we know if Tua Tagovailoa (@ Jets) is healthy, we’re not too optimistic about him& even in a favorable matchup with the lowly Jets.
We’ve made it this far, so keep chugging along at QB as you look to contend for a championship. If you own Kyler Murray or Patrick Mahomes, you should be looking ahead to their Week 12 byes and grabbing a QB with a good matchup that week.
Note: We’ll be updating these QB rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
