The search for Tom Brady’s ‘mother f—er’ continues as he crosses another quarterback off the list

The search for Tom Brady’s MFer continues.

Brady’s appearance on HBO’s “The Shop” earlier in the summer sparked a fascinating story; Brady detailed his free agency before signing with the Buccaneers, admonishing a team that decided to stick with a certain “mother f—er” at quarterback rather than signing him.

You can cross Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill off the list of potential suspects. On Wednesday, Brady let media know that he’s, in fact, a big fan of Tannehill, seemingly removing a spot on the list:

“I like Ryan a lot, I think he’s a great player,” Brady said Wednesday. “Obviously a great leader for that team and done a great job. Last year was phenomenal, year before that he was great. I really like competing against him a lot, he’s beaten me quite a few times. He’s a great player.”

While Brady didn’t exactly cross Tannehill off the list, context clues can tell us that he may not have ever been on it to begin with. Brady said that a team that was in it until just about the end.

That would leave a few teams that were reportedly interested in Brady’s services: The Chargers, 49ers and Buccaneers. The Buccaneers would eventually sign Brady, the Chargers, without a true starting quarterback, would eventually draft Justin Herbert in the 2020 NFL Draft. That leaves one team.

You do the math.
