Texas, Creighton surge into top five of Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll

The new year brings a few changes in the Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The top three teams remain unchanged from the final poll of 2020, but a couple others make big moves to crack the top five.

Gonzaga is still No. 1, with 29 of 32 first-place votes. No. 2 Baylor retains the remaining three No. 1 votes, And Villanova holds steady at No. 3.

Texas vaults five places to No. 4 following its huge road win at Kansas. It is the highest ranking for the Longhorns since the 2010-11 season. Creighton also climbs five slots to No. 5, topping its previous high watermark of No. 7 during the 2016-17 season.
