Sunday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 12 Browns-Ravens single-game tournaments
Week 12’s Sunday Night Football showdown pits the Ravens against the Browns in what has quietly been an underrated divisional rivalry in recent seasons. The Ravens and Browns will both welcome reinforcements back into the fold, which should add some juice into this matchup — and our FanDuel single-game lineup. Las Vegas sportsbooks aren’t giving the impression of fireworks, installing the Ravens as 4.5-point home favorites with the total opening at 45.5, but there are still plenty of intriguing DFS options in this one.
Here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests: The point total for the “MVP” is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn’t cost any additional money like the “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel’s default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games like on DraftKings.
FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Browns vs. Ravens
$60,000 budget, need at least one player from each team
MVP (1.5x points) QB Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($17,000)
Jackson is the most dynamic player in Sunday night’s matchup, so he’s an easy choice for our MVP slot. He’s crossed the 30-FanDuel-point marker three times this season, and the Browns have been generous to quarterbacks. Buying into invented narratives is 100 percent optional, but after laying a dud against the Dolphins in Week 10 and missing Week 11 against the Bears because of an illness, he’s going to be itching to erupt.
FLEX RB Nick Chubb, Browns ($13,000)
Chubb won’t have the backfield entirely to himself with Kareem Hunt slated to return, but he’s averaged 19 touches in the contests when both were active this year. He also crossed the 20-FD-point plateau twice over that span, so it’s not as if he isn’t capable of big things while sharing the workload.
FLEX WR Marquise Brown, Ravens ($12,500)
Brown (thigh) missed last week’s contest after a dud of his own in Week 10, but he’s been dominating targets, earning 39 over his past three games. That three-game stretch included two performances over 16.0 FanDuel points, and he’s eclipsed that threshold six times on the season overall. With Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman garnering a healthy portion of Cleveland’s attention, Brown will have opportunities to make some big plays.
WEEK 12 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo
FLEX RB Kareem Hunt, Browns ($11,000)
The Browns may ease Hunt back into action after an extended layoff, but he doesn’t necessarily need a full allotment of touches to make a sizable dent. He totaled five touchdowns over his first six games and figures to resume his role as a dual-threat weapon out of the backfield. There is some risk banking on him immediately upon his return, but DFS players shouldn’t be afraid of rolling the dice.
WEEK 12 DFS: Best values | Lineup Builder
FLEX TE Rashard Higgins, Browns ($6,000)
Higgins demonstrated an ability in 2020 to perform when getting increased opportunities in the offense. He finished with just five targets last week, but that was third on the Browns and accounted for a respectable 17.9-percent target share. He scored at least 14.0 FanDuel points on three occasions last year and is someone Baker Mayfield may need to lean on relatively heavily on Sunday night.
