Ravens get playoff revenge on Titans by dancing on their logo after game-sealing interception

Baltimore’s 20-13 win over Tennessee in Sunday’s wild-card meeting was satisfying on multiple levels.

The Ravens avenged their last two losses to the Titans, including one that knocked the team from the 2020 playoffs. It limited 2,000-yard rusher Derrick Henry to a mere 40 yards on 18 carries. And, it got sweet revenge after Tennessee stood on Baltimore’s logo earlier this year.

In the teams’ Week 11 meeting, Ravens coach John Harbaugh and Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler got into a verbal pregame spat after the majority of Tennessee’s roster gathered on the Ravens logo at midfield.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel and Harbaugh were seen talking about it after the fact, though it’s impossible to know what they were saying with their masks on. The Titans went on to a 30-24 overtime win, courtesy of a game-ending touchdown run from Henry.

The Ravens returned the favor Sunday after cornerback Marcus Peters notched what proved to be a game-sealing interception:

And, if you think Baltimore was going to take the high road after dancing on the Titans logo, think again. The Ravens walked off the field following the victory formation, refusing to shake hands with Tennessee players.

Just more fodder for the teams’ next meeting.

As for the 2021 playoffs, the win knocked Tennessee out and advanced the Ravens to the divisional round, where they will play either top seed Kansas City or 2-seed Buffalo, depending on the outcome of the Browns-Steelers matchup.
