NFL Week 16 coverage map: TV schedule for CBS, Fox regional broadcasts

Week 16 is another week that brings a lot of NFL action with it. There’s another 16-game slate that includes the final “Thursday Night Football” game of the year, two Christmas Day games on Saturday and another packed NFL Sunday slate as well.

We’re scheduled to have an 11-game Sunday slate in Week 16. We’ll see if that actually happens, as last week’s 11-game slate was trimmed to nine after a couple of COVID-related postponements, but that’s at least what the NFL currently has planned.

CBS will be getting a bulk of the action in Week 16, as they have the broadcast rights to the doubleheader this time around. CBS will focus on a couple of key AFC games — Bills at Patriots and Steelers at Chiefs — in the 1 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET windows respectively. Those will be the largest audience drivers, with the Bills-Patriots game, which could play a big role in deciding the AFC East, being the marquee matchup.

As for Fox, their coverage will be largely regionalized, but two games are getting slightly more run than the others. The Giants-Eagles and Rams-Vikings games will comprise most of the Fox audience while three other games will combine and be shown in smaller parts of the rest of the country.

Below are the full NFL coverage maps for Week 16, plus a list of major TV markets and the CBS and Fox games that will be presented in each on Sunday.

TV schedule for NFL Week 16 games

Below are the Sunday afternoon games that will be broadcast regionally. “Sunday Night Football” will feature a rivalry game between the Cowboys and Washington. The Cowboys will have a chance to officially wrap up the NFC East with a victory while Washington will be looking to play spoiler and work its way back into the playoff race.

“Monday Night Football” will feature an interesting contest between the Dolphins and the Saints. New Orleans has the home-field advantage and a terrific defense, but will they be able to move the ball on a Miami defense that is strong in its own right? It could be a defensive battle between the two, 7-7 teams that are each looking to sneak into the playoff picture.
