Monday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 3 Eagles-Cowboys single-game tournaments
This week’s edition of Monday Night Football is a classic NFC East clash. The Cowboys and Eagles opened with a 51.5-point total and Dallas as a four-point favorite. With that many points expected, we have plenty of legitimate options for FanDuel single game lineup, but experience NFL DFS players know you have to differentiate a bit if you want to win big money. That’s why you won’t find Dak Prescott among the picks below, as risky as that sounds.
Before we break down our lineup, here’s a reminder of FanDuel’s scoring system for single-game contests: The point total for the “MVP” is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn’t cost any additional money like the “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel’s default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games like on DraftKings.
FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Eagles vs. Cowboys
$60,000 budget, need at least one player from each team
MVP (1.5x points): QB Jalen Hurts, Eagles ($16,500)
Hurts has already demonstrated that 30 FanDuel points is within reach — he accumulated 28.8 against the Falcons in Week 1. We obviously love quarterbacks who can contribute heavily on the ground, and Hurts has 17 carries with a rushing touchdown under his belt through two weeks. We anticipate that he’s going to be rostered at a lower percentage than Prescott, at at MVP, so we’ll gladly differentiate a bit for equally high upside.
FLEX: WR Amari Cooper, Cowboys, ($13,000)
Since there’s no Prescott in this build, we’re going to roster his top two targets. Cooper leads the Cowboys in receptions (16) and touchdowns (2) and can be expected to be busy once again on Monday night.

FLEX: WR CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys ($12,500)
The second half of the Cowboys’ dynamic receiving duo, Lamb tops the Cowboys in targets (24) and yards (163). Lamb and Cooper are the only Cowboys pass-catchers who will head into the matchup with double-digit looks. They’re going to be heavily targeted in this Week 3 showcase.
FLEX: RB Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys ($12,000)
There’s likely to be a large segment of the field that prefers the cheaper Tony Pollard ($10,000) to “washed-up Zeke”. We don’t believe Elliott is done yet, though. He leads the team with 31 touches and is another big Cowboys piece that we’re able to get into this lineup. If you have a hunch about Pollard, there’s nothing wrong with throwing in an extra lineup to cover your bases.
FLEX: TE Blake Jarwin, Cowboys ($6,000)
We’re being greedy with our first four selections, so we have to be sneaky with this one. There’s no denying that this is a prayer for a touchdown. Jarwin caught six touchdowns on 77 targets across 2018 and ’19. He’s seen four targets in each of his first two games and will have opportunities to fly under the radar against a defense that will have its hands full. There are longer odds to bet on at $6,000 and below.
