Monday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 11 Giants-Buccaneers Showdown tournaments
Week 11’s Monday Night Football matchup features the Giants and Buccaneers, who are both coming off of their bye week. Despite their Week 9 loss to the Washington Football Team, the Bucs remain among the Super Bowl favorites. The Giants, meanwhile, are just trying to string a few decent performances together after winning two of their past three. With Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) expected to return, there is no shortage of viable DFS options for DraftKings Showdown lineups.
Here are the key scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: They’re full-point PPR and there are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player’s original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.
DraftKings Showdown Picks: Giants vs. Buccaneers
$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.
Captain (1.5x value, 1.5x points): RB Saquon Barkley, Giants ($11,700)
This is a classic high-risk, high-reward decision. We don’t know to what degree Barkley will be eased back into action, but we do know how explosive he is. The Buccaneers’ typically stout run defense could feature a few more holes with Vita Vea (knee) set to miss the contest. Tampa also allows a high amount of receptions to running backs, so Barkley has a little more juice in DraftKings’ full-point PPR format.
FLEX: RB Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers ($10,000)
Fournette continues to produce and dominate volume in the Bucs backfield. He’s eclipsed 17.0 DraftKings points in two of his past three games and has handled 33.3 percent of the Bucs’ touches this season. The Bucs are heavily favored, and if this game gets out of hand, Fournette will enjoy another full serving of work.
FLEX: WR Chris Godwin, Buccaneers ($9,400)
Both Godwin and Mike Evans ($10,200) are high-upside plays with Antonio Brown (ankle) ruled out. We’re opting for Godwin thanks to DraftKings’ full-point PPR scoring and the fact that he has caught eight passes for 100-plus yards in two of his past three games. He leads the Bucs with 77 targets (31 over his past three games) and is reeling in 74 percent of the passes that head his way.
FLEX: WR Kenny Golladay, Giants ($7,000)
Don’t fret over Golladay’s modest performance (three targets, two catches, 28 yards) in his Week 9 return to action, which can be explained by quarterback Daniel Jones attempting just 20 passes. This looks like a spot that will require the Giants to drop back significantly more frequently, affording Golladay and Co. more chances to make plays.
FLEX: WR Kadarius Toney, Giants ($6,800)
Toney’s Week 5 breakout feels like a distant memory, but he’s healthy after dealing with a couple of injuries and the matchup suggests heavier pass volume from the G-Men. The Giants will have as close to a full cupboard of playmakers as they’ve had for several weeks. Toney likely won’t approach his season-high 13 targets, but he should have opportunities to attack favorable matchups.
FLEX: WR Tyler Johnson, Buccaneers ($5,000)
Johnson is a clear third option behind Godwin and Evans, but he’s gradually earning more of the team’s trust — he’s seen 11 targets across his past two games and played in 64 percent or more of the snaps over his past three. We don’t expect a gaudy stat line, but a big play or touchdown isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
